The ideal weekend activities for kids are those that include some pleasure for the parents too. Pixar got on to this years ago. Unlike poor Lou from our office – who nearly expired at Lego Land some weeks back – I thoroughly thrived on a recent ‘Fire of London’ weekend. Christopher Wren’s Monument is sensational (see below). The sights of the City, pretty empty and atmospheric on a Saturday are really pretty exciting for kids and adults alike. But best of all was the Museum of London. Tucked away but surprisingly large – this museum is world class.
